One of the easiest ways to get started with Taskheat is to import your to-dos from other sources. Currently, we offer to import from CSV files and Apple Reminders.
CSV (Comma-Separated Values)
This file format is widely adopted in the software industry and is capable of representing various structured data. If you have your data exported from other sources to a CSV file, you import them in the Mac version of Taskheat by using File ▸ Import From ▸ CSV…
It will bring the interactive dialog where you can map specific entries to the fields in Taskheat.
All imported tasks will end up in the new projects and will not be mixed with existing ones.
If you have previously exported your Taskheat data as CSV, you can safely import them back to the app and maintain all the dependencies and tags.
Apple Reminders
Starting from macOS 11 Big Sur on Mac and iOS 14 on iPad and iPhone, Taskheat allows importing lists of reminders from the default Reminders app.
To initiate the importing process on Mac, use File ▸ Import From ▸ Reminders… On iPad or iPhone, go to Settings ▸ Import From Reminders…
Then you can pick the lists you want to appear in Taskheat, and they will be imported as the new projects.
Helpful tip: If something went wrong and the result you get didn't match what you were expecting, you can undo the importing operation and start over.
